Actually, you won’t! But you’re forgiven for thinking that one false. As surprising as it may sound, the ungrading method means that you will receive qualitative instead of quantitative feedback. I will keep a record of your work using checkmarks throughout the semester, and you will only receive a final letter grade on your transcript, which will be determined with your own self-assessment taken in consideration. The exact recipe for an A is detailed on the syllabus (it’s called contract-grading).
