Welcome to Module 7! (2 – 2.5 hours each part)
This module is split over two weeks, as we are reading the full play Hedda Gabler. **Mind the spoilers in the PDF slides and part 2 content!**
PART 1: Here’s what you need to do during the first week of Module 7:
- Read from the Anthology:
– Vol. 5: “Henrik Ibsen” (p. 2672);
– Hedda Gabler, by Henrik Ibsen, 1891, Acts I and II. While you could read strategically for Candide, this is not a novel, but a play. It’s crucial to read a play linearly as there is acting game on top of the action. The advantage is that it reads super quickly, as not the whole page is filled by text, and it is mostly dialogues!

**Please note: there are two separate exit tickets for Module 7.1 (Acts I and II of the play) and 7.2 (Acts III and IV).** - Do your Google Doc duty.

PART 2: Here’s what you need to do during the second week of Module 7:
- Work on your outline, which we will use in a meeting next week for peer-review. It should be a substantial draft with a full intro, all subheadings and bullet points, so that you can give substantial feedback to each other when you swap.
- Please finish reading the play: Hedda Gabler, Acts III and IV.
- Watch the second part of the lecture below.
